From a naive outside point of view (naive because I don't have a clue about the financial issues behind that):
I feel great respect for the CofE's struggle for compromise and its determination not to loose anyone on the way, especially if this comes from those on the recieving end of discrimination. Yes, we should try and hold the church together. But the holy, catholic and apostolic church is NOT - not only - the Anglican Communion. And as the church contains several human organisational bodies anyway, why can't we just group and ungroup as our current needs require? And if some people desperately want to do their own thing, why not just let them run off? They'll stay fellow Christians anyway.
Oh, life would be so easy, if this kind of conflicts was really about theology, moral or whatever and not about money and political influence. What a waste of energy!
