"Many non-ordained people struggle to believe that being a priest can be stressful. Some even still believe that we work for one day a week, visit a few people and spend the rest of the time reading theology and collecting butterflies."
Paul Roberts on clergy stress, working hours etc, in three posts, starting here.

You know, the only place I've ever seen someone with a butterfly net in my entire life was perhaps 30 yards from your house.
Spooky or wot? May I recommend a Panama hat and linen jacket. :-p

I now feel too guilty to ask for a chat with my local vicar - he's clearly going to be far too busy!

he'll be delighted, Tony. (If anything like most vicars I know)

do I look like the kind of woman who has time to faff about with butterflies?

Anglicans busy? Check out your local Catholic Priest, his workload will make you faint! Seriousley though, everyone today has a stressful existence and the secret of success is knowing how we can support each other to cope with the madness of life. Finding good friends is not easy but they are like pure gold when you do. OK, stop reading this and get back to work!
