Biography

Maggi is currently Chaplain and Fellow of Robinson College (University of Cambridge), and is a member of the RSCM Advisory and
Consultative Panel. She writes and presents for the BBC, and is an occasional writer for Christian Century, Guardian Online and Third Way.

Maggi became a theologian after a first career as a musician and songwriter. She read theology at Cambridge (England), and is now chaplain and teaching Fellow in modern theology. Her specialism is hermeneutics, liturgy, and the theological thought of S.T Coleridge.

Maggi has been involved in alternative and new forms of Church since the 1980's, as a founder member of the Postevangelical "Holy Joe's" in London. She was ordained in the Church of England in 1999, after which she was a curate, Chaplain of King's College Cambridge before moving to Robinson College.

Maggi still dabbles in music for fun, playing and singing with friends in local venues. She also likes life drawing, painting, art exhibitions, theatre and movies.
